The City College of San Francisco Masterworks Chorale provides the city of San Francisco with free concerts featuring music ranging from Bach to Bernstein, from as long ago as the Renaissance and as recent as last year.

Join us for concerts in the acoustically wonderful Atrium of the Rosenberg Library at the Ocean Ave. campus of City College of San Francisco. Or join the Chorale, and come sing with us!

Our Director

Dr. Michael Shahani has conducted more than 400 performances of more than 80 different operas and musicals, as well as several orchestras and choirs in dozens of concerts. He has conducted most of the City Summer Opera and City College of San Francisco’s productions since 1988. He was the music director for Cinnabar Chamber Singers in Petaluma, and has conducted for VOICES/SF Opera Ensemble, Theater Concord, San Francisco Recreation Symphony, Lyric Theatre of San Jose, and Contra Costa Musical Theater, for which he won a Shellie Award for Outstanding Musical. Dr. Shahani teaches voice and piano in the Music Department of City College.
